Phil Stern co-founded yet2.com in 1999, bringing substantial financial, strategic, leadership and management experience to the company. In addition to providing strategic direction for the company, he currently leads the company’s patent transaction practice, having developed the analytics and methodology for our services. As a partner in yet2Ventures, he helps build portfolio companies and leads analysis and due diligence activities. Phil continues to lead the firm’s clients in benchmarking sessions and speaks internationally on the topics of technology transfer and patent trading.

Prior to yet2.com, he worked 13 years in general management and strategy consulting. He has substantial expertise in developing and implementing breakthrough strategic plans, having served clients for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company in a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, aerospace, oilfield services, networking, and financial services. During this time, he also developed an expertise in business and asset valuation as well as a detailed understanding of financial planning processes. As the Division Vice President managing the Professional and Technical Imaging business for Polaroid Corporation, he led product development efforts, implemented new market introduction plans, and spearheaded acquisitions.

Phil holds an A.B. cum laude in Mathematics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
